Travel & Date Ideas

New experiences give me life – whether it’s sharing a yummy meal together, an adventurous trip around the world, exploring art, a salty day on the water, or a relaxing quiet afternoon unwinding at a spa, we’re bound to make unforgettable memories. If you’re looking for some inspiration for our next date or vacation, I have some ideas for you. I fit in anywhere so take me everywhere!

Getaways

Amalfi Coast – Views to die for, fresh fish and glamorous days of me slipping my bikini top off at the beach. Let’s do a sunset cruise around the coast. A dream vacation I’ve always fantasized about.

Paris – I took French for 10 years and I’ve unfortunately lost most of it. But I’m confident it’ll all come back to me if I immerse myself again. Let’s visit le tour Eiffel, le Musée de Louvre et Château de Versailles.

Tokyo – Electric energy and the best sushi you can find. Shall we take the bullet train to Kyoto to explore centuries-old temples and shrines? Did I mention sushi? So much sushi.

Swiss Alps – We’ll start with cheese fondue in Zurich and make our way to the mountainous countryside of the Swiss Alps. Lake Geneva demands we spend a romantic day admiring the turquoise blue water.

Peru – I really really wanna do Machu Picchu. Let’s immerse ourselves into the Inca culture and hike to the top for soaring views of Peru.

Germany – It’d be such a dream to explore my family heritage. How about we take the Eurail from the Berlin Wall, to Munich to try lots of beer at Oktoberfest, then to Frankfort and Hamburg. The history and culture will whisk us away for this romantic rendezvous.

Cape Town – Why don’t we do a safari, explore new cultures, and check out the views of Cape Agulhas, the dividing line between the Atlantic and Indian Ocean. If you’re up for something extra adventurous, shark cage diving – *cue Jaws theme song.*

Napa Valley – Close, cute, quaint, and an opportunity to learn more about wine! Where are my wine connoisseurs at?

Foodie

Atmos Immersive Dining – Located in Fort Lauderdale, a five course fine dining experience that will invigorate all of your senses. The whole dining room and table come to life. I’ve never been but it seems so fun and different.

Cooking Class – Are you a good chef? I love learning new things and practicing my skills in the kitchen. It’s so sexy to prepare a meal and then enjoy it together. There are tons of cooking classes available with locations all over. What shall we cook?

Local RestaurantsJoia Beach beach club and such a vibe. Other favorites include Cote (Korean Barbeque), Edge (Steakhouse), Carbone (Italian), Kaluz (American), Komodo (Asian), Seaspice (Seafood) and S3 (Seafood).

Day at Sea

Boat – My bikini, possibly on or off, the warm sun on your skin, cruising the waves, maybe a few drinks, good music and even better vibes. Don’t forget to rub oil all over my body. I’ll even throw a few casts out with you, talk about a fresh catch. If you have your own boat, fabulous, if not, maybe just rent one for a day? This date sounds oh so hot!

Scuba Diving – I’m open water certified! I have all my own gear except BCD, tank and weights. There’s plenty of dive site options in the South Florida region, or of course we could fly anywhere. Bonus points if we see sharks! I’ve heard Belize has amazing diving. Make me your own personal mermaid.

Entertainment

Shows – Live shows are always so fun! Maybe sing our hearts out at a concert? Seminole Hard Rock Casino is a great venue – concerts/shows, casino, hotel, pool, dinner/drinks, spa and shopping. Or we could attend a more traditional performance at the Broward Center for Performing Arts

ArtPerhaps we spark some *ahem* ideas at the World Erotic Art Museum. Or keep it traditionally romantic at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens or the Pérez Museum.

Movie – The cutest spot in town for a movie date night would be at Rooftop Cinema Club  in South Beach. They play classic favorites and new releases – featuring the city skyline, a starlit sky, fun cocktails and wireless headphones.

Sports – Basketball, football, baseball, hockey? Your team is my team! Let’s cheer ‘em on!

Low Key

Spa – Couples massage, facials, mani/pedi, hot tub. Pure bliss and relaxation. Need I say more? Some local favorites I recommend are Lapis Spa at Fontainebleau, The Ritz-Carlton Spa and The Spa at Mandarin Oriental.

Design District – Located in Miami, we can check out the latest graffiti art at Wynwood Walls. Then make our way to some designer shopping? There’s plenty of unique restaurants – grab a bite to eat at the Dior Cafe or take our time at COTE, a MICHELIN-starred Korean steakhouse. I’ll show you around town!

Las Olas Boulevard – Let’s take a stroll on Las Olas Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale. A popular spot for shopping, dining, people-watching and beautiful views on the Riverwalk. Afterwards we can enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants – tacos at El Camino, top-notch seafood at Lobster Bar, or wine and a charcuterie board at Vinos Wine Bar, complete with a speakeasy. The best part? I live right here, so it’s all walking distance from my apartment which is super convenient.
